YES!!!
This is where i would like to be today. In fact i MIGHT even want to be biking. Days like this just make me want to get out there...get active...feel the wind on my face...muscles flexing...oh my goodness.........I'm tired already! :0
I want to share with you the QUEEN's popcorn recipe.
If you eat enough of this you don't need to work out. Weight melts off, you look MUCH younger and you begin to look like my twin, Angelina Jolie! Yes I've found the secret...and I'm sticking with it.
Queens Popcorn
• Cook organic popcorn in iron skillet with canola oil, I often use coconut oil
• Add nutritional yeast and Spike! Easy & fabulous!
Have a wonderful weekend.
All my baby chicks are going to be home in the nest! I am blessed.
p.s. Fabulous new art work by Karin Scott. She is so talented.
Thanks Karin!

For my little darlings!
The thursday night group has been doing some memorizing...something my old brain REALLY struggles to do...
So i'm making the little darlings these change purses as they complete their studies. After all...do you ever get to old to like a prize...I don't think so :)
Our lessons have been all about growing and changing...so to be a little reminder to ourselves..i've made pull tags that say, Lord change me. These tags were easy to make and could be used in all kinds of ways...personalize your name..date..expression of love or not...
I printed them on the computer...cut the strips and then used scotchgard self sealing pouches from staples. Cut them to size, hole punch, little bit of ribbon and voila!

I need your opinion!
Do you think i have a fabric problem?
I know i have a stuff problem...but is it really possible to have a fabric problem?
One never knows when you might NEED to make another purse, or bib..and isn't it good, maybe even slightly noble of me to be PREPARED and READY?
WHAT if...the stores ran out of my favorite fabric and i couldn't find it anymore? WHAT if there was some terrible bowevel outbreak and all the cotton was eaten (do they eat cotton and how does one spell that bug or disease ;)) What if all my clothes were destroyed (or didn't fit) and i wanted to save my husband money and remake them...have i made my case? What do you think? All comments not lining up with what i think WILL be kept from my husband.

Holly
This is my beautiful daughter Holly.
She is not crazy about having her picture taken...can you tell?
She is modeling a purse that she recieved for Christmas. I decided this year to go back (use to do this when the kids were little) of making some of their Christmas presents. My hope was this would make everything even more special..thoughtful..less expensive etc.... Many in the family got into the spirit...we had homemade baked things in baskets..lots of sewing and lots of love.
Anyway...this purse was made from a Portabellopixie pattern by Sandi Henderson. I loved making it...a roomy bag with lots of pockets. It was made out of decorator fabric that i prewashed. Even though they ALWAYS say to dry clean...most of the time i find that prewashing doesn't hurt sqwat. Who wants to carry a fabric purse that can't be washed???Maybe everyone is not as tragically messy as i am!
More pictures of holiday treasure to come.
Have a wonderful Sunday!
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I'm tired of the cold
I'm tired of bundling up
I'm tired brown, tan, gray
I'm tired of not being outside
I'm tired of not seeing my neighbors
I'm tired of hearing myself complain!
let me try again.....
I can't wait to stick my feet in the nice warm sand
I can't wait to plop on some flip flop, a tee shirt, shorts and run
I can't wait to see things greening up, flowers poking out their heads
I can't wait to take a walk and smell the fresh cut grass
I can't wait to open my windows and get the fresh breeze
I can't wait to sit on my neighbors front porch and all of us "pass"the time
I can't wait for Spring!
I guess i have a lot to look forward to...I am blessed :)

growin' up !?
I'm in this new study.
Oh goodness...i'm in this new study. This study is having it's way with me...actually I guess thats God having HIS way with me.
I'm in this group called..........i'm embarrased to say, called The Bible Babes. Don't get me wrong..i'm not embarrased of the group. I'm blessed to know each and everyone of them. But that name has always made me squirm...and still does.
We are working thru this new book by Angela Thomas called WHEN WALLFLOWERS DANCE. I'm starting to get this whole growing up thing...i repeat just STARTING! I'm so blessed to have a gracious Father who is taking my hand and leading me...and occassionally yanking on my hand when i get side tracked playing in the dirt. (and i get side tracked often)
Angela has what she calls "girlfriend nudges" in the lessons...let me share with you one from this week .
(from WHEN WALLFLOWERS DANCE)
Not one of us will ever wake up one morning to find that overnight we became a godly woman. You will have to decide that you want to become an amazing woman like that. Today, what if you say, " I have decided"?
I'm even having a tough time typing this next sentence. But Lord...I'd like to be an amazing godly woman. It seems like such a unlikley, unreachable thing for me to aspire to and yet I know that has always been HIS plan for me. Thank you for your grace and thank you for surrounding me with The Bible Babes. Women who encourage me, stretch me..who help me to "get over myself" (as the queen says) and who love me not only for who i am but who, with His help, I'm going to BE!
I am Blessed :)

Every girl needs a new pair of shoes!
It has been so fun making things for this sweet little girl...in fact making little things is just plain fun. Almost instant gratification.
These booties were made off a pattern by Heather Bailey. You can get the pattern on her site at http://www.heatherbailey.typepad.com/. Such gorgeous things and beautiful fabric too!!!!
Ahhhhhhhh fabric...I digress...is that a beautiful baby or what! No one would ever guess that i'm a new grandma huh? Still trying to come up with a word for grandma that makes me seem young...and while i'm at it thin. Any ideas? I'm guessing that i have a couple of weeks before this brilliant child can call me something. So send me some great ideas!

OK..ok...i've made everyone i know something...so time to come up with some other sewing ideas...
So i tried swapbot. They put me in touch with someone else in the world and we "swap". So the current theme was tea apron. Peeeerrrrrrfect for me! This is the apron that i made and sent off to Lima Ohio. I recieved a really great one too. I'll post of picture of it soon.
