DECISIONS

I've been reading PRIMAL by Mark Batterson...and this line from it..."The most important decisions you make are pre decisions" ..has GOT me.

" That if you don't make pre-decisions you'll end up making lot of bad decisions because you'll cave in to your circumstances instead of sticking with your convictions."

Hmmm...well that gives me a lot to chew on today. Funny how some lines just get into your soul. I think back on all the times in my life that i thought I'd set out on a path, made a decision...but yet, my "pre decisions"or lack of them undercut my goal or more importantly HIS desires for my life. Another one of those "things" that God is working on in my life. I'm a blessed girl...and He is a very patient God.

Have a great week...hope you're some place WARM! :)

Quick Gift!

More of my sewing during the snowpocolypse! (yes...that's what we call it when we have a couple of feet of snow in D.C.)

Found this cute tutorial over at THE SOMETIMES CRAFTER. A little reverse applique and a little time, reward an adorable set of coasters.

These would be perfect for a hostess gift and are great scrap busters!

Back to my machine..... :)

Sewing my brains out! :)

LARGE FABRIC STASHES WERE MADE FOR WEEKS LIKE THE LAST TWO I'VE HAD! :)

I like to think of my "stash" as clever planning on my part!...yeah...that's right-- clever planning. (My hubby should be so proud.)

Stuck close to home for nearly two weeks as the national capitol came to a stand still...I've lived at my machine.

Since i'm inside anyways...well...i might as well make things that the family NEEDS. Which explains the first tea cozy... I love to entertain with tea parties. I made a pattern out of some old muslin and pieced out of my small pieces stash...a little embroidery and add a few buttons!

Somewhere in blog land i had noticed this little cottage tea cozy...so i made one of those too...It's pretty large for the biggest of my tea pots.

Along with the cozies...i've pieced full size quilt top, made a messenger bag w matching change purse for a swap and some really cute reverse applique coasters....more on that later... all this cozy talk...i need some tea!

Later sweet ladies!

Trapped!

I live just a few miles outside of Washington, DC.

We don't handle snow very well here...actually that's kind of an understatement. We are paralyzed with fear at the 3rd snow flake!

The good part of being trapped home for a week (today is the first day the mailman came since last Friday) is I've been sewing my brains out...more on that later...but for now...enjoy my snow. You can have it..i mean really...you can have it :)
