LARGE FABRIC STASHES WERE MADE FOR WEEKS LIKE THE LAST TWO I'VE HAD! :) 
I like to think of my "stash" as clever planning on my part!...yeah...that's right-- clever planning. (My hubby should be so proud.)Stuck close to home for nearly two weeks as the national capitol came to a stand still...I've lived at my machine.
Since i'm inside anyways...well...i might as well make things that the family NEEDS. Which explains the first tea cozy... I love to entertain with tea parties. I made a pattern out of some old muslin and pieced out of my small pieces stash...a little embroidery and add a few buttons!
Somewhere in blog land i had noticed this little cottage tea cozy...so i made one of those too...It's pretty large for the biggest of my tea pots.
Along with the cozies...i've pieced full size quilt top, made a messenger bag w matching change purse for a swap and some really cute reverse applique coasters....more on that later... all this cozy talk...i need some tea!

Tea cozies are exactly what I have been working on this week! Mine was not as elaborate as yours! I have seen the cottage shaped one somewhere also ~ you've done a great job! Did you have a pattern for the first cozy or just make it up? I love that you used up some small pieces for it! I was wanting to make a crazy quilt type with some embroidery stitches. There are so many sizes of tea pots that I have been putting it off. But you have inspired me to just start and see where it goes!
